Chidinma O. Ahukanna

Chidinma “Chidi” Ahukanna started her legal career in 2019 and has gained experience in a variety of legal matters, including guardianship, pre- and post-decree family law, business litigation and adoption matters.

Chidi joined Garcia & DeCostanza, P.C. as an Associate in 2024. She focuses her practice on probate cases involving guardianships for adults with disabilities and children.

Chidi graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2019and earned her M.A. in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology prior to attending law school. She earned her undergraduate degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.

Chidi previously served as the Co-Chair and Co-Vice Chair of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) Alliance for Women Committee. Presently she’s a member of DePaul’s Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Advisory Board, an associate board member for AmeriCorps City Year, and a junior board member for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS).
